If you weren’t already taking advantage of Flickr, now is the time!
Yahoo! just released their “new search” with blended search results that includes news, images and videos. It’s worth noting that they’ve also added a search assist feature similar to Ask.com, but what I found most intriguing was this:
We also realize that the right answer is often more than a link – it’s a photo or a video. So we’ve integrated this multimedia content directly into the search results to give you a more complete answer. Looking for images of Nepal? You’ll find thumbnails of Flickr images tagged with that query.
So, what does that mean? It means you need to get clever with your Flickr image tags if you want to take advantage of this update.
Happy image posting and optimization!!

For the few subscribers I had (mom and that creepy guy in Salt Lake City… just kidding), I’ve finally made sense of my feed. In an attempt to nip any issues in the bum sooner rather than later, please re-subscribe here.
Thank you and who knows maybe I’ll post something worth reading down the road!
